On New Year's Day

...with anticipation
Attended the 8:30am mass at Blessed Sacrament and then the rest of the morning was spent at Botanical Garden. Had 300 shots... err, that's because Euge takes photos in burst mode. And most of the photos are not of us... They are of the fish, the turtles, the swans and the flowers. =) Didn't even brought a tripod! So there was great difficulty in having a picture together. Good thing there is the reference object, you know what I mean! A couple minus a tripod plus reference object equals...

And my New Years' resolution remains the same... to try to stop nail biting! Har Har Har!
And there's always room for extra love.

turtle power

Had lunch at McDo down Farrer Road. We knew that it is different from other McDo because of the location, it is surrounded by greens. =) From all the McDos I've seen in Manila, facade is very different. And what did we see? Turtles! Lots of them. They swim in this swamp-like body of water, they climb at a rock and onto each other to take a break from wading, and little baby turtles try their best to climb too.

The picture shows only 1/3 of the turtle population we saw. Quite plenty, huh. Watching them while ate lunch, left us not giving a decent answer to some raised questions. How to know if a turtle is pregnant? Searching the web now, says that you can't tell if a turtle is pregnant because they don't get pregnant, they only lay eggs. Excuse me, what does that mean? Lol, dunno, so moving on... another question, how do water turtles eat in water without getting too much water in their mouth? And how do they poop? The answers, I don't know and not too interested to find out.
