as a matter of fact: friends shift

Oh no, this is not about being friends and then shifting to becoming enemies.  I rarely make friends so I do not have the benefit of throwing away one, ha.  Although there are misunderstanding and zero communication with some friends, still, friends are friends.  Anyways, this is just a list of some of the changes or shifts that I noticed to friends:

my friends who were on the slim side gained weight, as in GAINED.  no need to name names.  you
guys know who you are.  hello to you.

friends flying and working all over the world!  candice, i think is the farthest in hail, ksa.  worked with ddpi folks in singapore.  now i am back home bumming, some more friends flew to singapore.

moved from one office to another, from cubao to up techno hub.

had braces.

had minor operation.  not for aesthetic purposes.

less pimples, ha.

My friends will always be dear to me.  They have made my life beautiful.  I have met them along the way and all the way I'll take them with me.  Friends from school, from work, friends I found online...all friends in my heart... all kept.

Ho hum

Sleepy now. Good thing at least I have changed the banner and at least have my 3-column blog now. Ecai was really grumpy today. Hardly gave me a rest, slept really short and always wants to be held. Ho hum.

cleaning up my act

I am trying to improve on things, too many to jot down. But hope to make them all in time.
Need to make a list, a personal list so I won't forget and be more organized.

And it is time to start.

• i read sweet valley books and nancy drew mystery case files. the first book i read was nancy drew and the dancing puppet. then it was the sweet valley twins' barnyard battle. my favorite book among the sweet valley twins were the super chillers, the carnival ghost, and the secret of the ruby necklace. i was very lucky, i think, because i was able to read sweet valley saga: the wakefields of sweet valley and the wakefields legacy!

strolling at the park

Ecai turned 3 months old last Aug 8. We originally planned to celebrate at Luneta Park, inviting some relatives and some friends. But too bad, it rained the entire week, typhoon kiko ravaged.

Anyway, when the sun looked like it is going to shine we still went, Ecai, Inay, Jut and I. Miss you Mumu. We went and expected to stay by the bay. Err, the Oceanarium was there! No more seaside! I didn't know. So did Jut. I was in Singapore and Jut was in UK and Inay was err, spending her time at home or malling with Ate Ana, Glai, Tita Ne and Paolo. So we ended up just strolling.

Flags were at half-mast, symbolic respect for the death of former President Aquino.



The wind was gusty. My hair was everywhere.


There was a little drizzle before we went home. And off again to go to see Mausi. Too many pics, I'll load some when I have some more free time.

Salamat, President Cory

Sorrow is in the air. Today is the internment of the 11th president of the Philippines and mother of Philippine democracy, Cory Aquino.

Gratitude will always be there for her. She has made every Filipino proud. Watching the news, I was amazed to how many lives she has touched. And how she lifted everything to God. Heaven must really love her, the weather is gloomy and rain is drizzling, like the sky is shedding tears.

People lined the streets to pay last respect. She, a very gentle and calm natured person, could ignite the hearts of thousands, reaching out to any class or status. Her legacy will leave on...

harry made me go solo, not once but twice

It was the movie. I watched Harry Potter's 5th and latest movie alone. I watched both on the first day on the first MF. It was easier, not that hard to spot a seat for one.

Am not one of those who got disappointed with the latest movie. In fact, I am pretty much pleased. When I read the book, it was a sad sad story. But when I watched the movie, I saw the light and young side of the lead characters, their lines were young and witty. The effects were so nice. I would never have thought that the muggle's bridge was destroyed like that. Just that there were really some scenes that if I remember correctly, didn't happen that way.

Nothing more, just posted my fondness,errr love for HP series.

random ramblings

...because I have nothing, err.. I don't want to do anything.

• I am so lazy... what I do when I open my eyes in the morning, stretch and say, "oh, it's morning." Then I close my eyes and snooze for another 2 hours. And when I finally manage to sit up, I lounge around, run the pc, surf the net, open a magazine, look at photos and finally, begin a normal-responsible day.
• Ohh, today is the birthday of my Lola who passed away almost 21 yrs ago. She took care of me until she can, she brought me to school, would wake me up... and oh oh, I remember the first thing I would do when I open my eyes then, I would scream "Lola." I wouldn't move until I hear her say, "Baba na." And won't go down the stairs until I see her. Then I would open the TV and watch "Batibot" and the lounge around scratching my head. Hahaha, I am still doing the same routine. Dang!
• I know this should change and it will be sooner than I might've thought.
• I couldn't use shears, not allowed to thread, oh man, what to do? I really like crafts, be it cross stitching, anything with paper, now I got some clay but not getting the hang of it, use glue, color, paint, but I am limited as of now, so all I do is digital. Oh, I would love to learn how to sew.
• God blessed me so I want to make the best of it.

Random thoughts

Talk about randomness.

Having a bad case of cough. Never coughed like this since college, and uh, that was around 7 years ago.

Visited the doctor twice already and will have to pay one more visit on Thurs.

Suddenly felt tired facing the computer. I am trying to limit my pc time. And trying to get my old hobbies back. I miss paper, so I guess I'll go back to making a diary and collecting papers. I used to make paper dolls, even when I was in college,lol. Although most if the time my school bag is messy inside, I took care of my fave notebook, of a favorite subject, of course. Don't you just love the edges to be flat and not folded or wrinkled? I do. I also write very light. Hmm, haven't written anything on paper for a very long time. Hmm, I wonder how my handwriting is. Used to write quite nicely.

Aww... my head tells me to stop now. So I better listen and stop.

headache

wanted to dress up my blog and do some more digi stuff, but i am having a headache... it is not migrane, it is more of dizziness. and this will just waste my weekend. aw!

very very cluttered

I think I am going to admit that I am not a very very organized person, well, I would just like to think that it is just for the moment. All my stuff are strewn everywhere. I have a pen here and on the drawer, ewws... My email is not organized either, even my blog isn't looking nice. I just created the account just to type and post. My files and folders are all mixed up. Haizzz... maybe I really need some organizing. And I will start today! Goodluck me!

darn

hello and sigh... I am doing this entry from my mobile. Our desktop seems to be having some prob. Desktop spec is quite impressive, also with its passing video rendering. But suddenly dying on us! Was only on ie, then blue screen of death. Physical memory dump when it turns on or doesn't turn on at all. At first we thought that when euge was losing his Test Drive game profile, twice already mind you, he did something wrong and was a game bug. Then his Worms game also hang up. Then my simple surfing caused blue screen. Syemay,siomai! =

oh no! monday is coming

if i were monday, i'd always wonder why almost everyone dread me. =) is it because of the waking time? or because of the work that was left pending last week is about to catch up again? and maybe because four more days after me means stress and deadlines? absolutely right!

again, my weekend is not enough for me. friday night was fun. had geri's bday dinner at lau pah sat. then hopped to hardrock cafe. well, it was my first time for any hardrock cafe and it's been years since i've been in a bar. oops, my mistake, i remember going to the arena just last feb. =) went home at 2 am, woke up 9am, saturday. all day saturday i spent my time infront of the pc, doing what i love to do with pics, then my head started to throb so i slept it off till 6pm. at 9pm we went to borders along orcahrd road to buy euge's book. and whatelse did we have... 3 pc games. and i had my things for my new regimen. =( spender. and then sunday, woke up 10 am, too late for the morning mass so we went to the market instead. manicure and pedicure d.i.y. and then, late mass for us. as a signal for our manic weekdays, i had to iron, euge had to finish the laundry.

and i still feel that i have missed to do some more of my stuff this weekend. my re-reading of harry potter 6 hasn't progressed. i haven't had any time to write... blah blah blah

yatta! weekend at last

at last! time to take a rest. well, that is if i can.

last tuesday we met with sir bernie and sir ching. had our dinner at hamoru. of course, we had shiok maki, 2 plates. =) it is really the best maki for me. i think everyone would agree. it is really a must try. then had coffe at tcc. last night, i didn't join them for dinner 'coz the host is euge's director. of course, di naman lahat ng kainan kailangan puntahan, me mga jahe factor pa din, whehehe. anyway met up with them after their chili crab dinner. had a break at coffee club in clarke quay, sarap ng quiche. it was really nice catching up with them again, stories, updates and all. sir ching magiging daddy, si jeri din. si amy N82 un ginagawan ng program, si melody hindi na maaga pumasok mula nong... mapagod, e kasi lagi sya maaga... nakakapagod kaya yun. lol. ask nila sir ching kung me papadala daw ba kami... pagbati na lang muna. hahaha

sana next outing ng wti makasama kami. =)

btw, ate len found the ekek i wrote years ago. yey! when i find the time i hope to type them here. i need a good storage you know. i saved it on a disc, kaso nasira, sa harddrive, na reformat without backing up, buti na lang i printed it out and gave ate len a copy. kinukulit ko na nga sya na hanapin nya e... buti na lang nakita! yey! yey tlga.

late account of the batam trip

last weekend, 4 days... no make it 6, we had a trip to batam, indonesia. from what i am informed, this is the nearest indonesian island from singapore. the ferry travel was only 40-45 minutes. i was sleepy 'cause had to wake up early and the night before i had to pack and then euge played with the computer which made me sleepless.

at around 10 am- batam time, we arrived bay view resort. settled in our rooms and had buffet lunch and at 6pm batam time, had our buffet dinner at kelong restaurant. =) of course, in between the sumptuous buffets was fun fun fun under the sun.

(a) i teased a parrot or was it a cockatoo (who knows the difference?) with my purse, i didn't stop even if its beak dug a hole in my purse. =)

(b) we hit the beach, although it wasn't as nice as the white sands of beaches i've been in the philippines, it was still nice to have picture galore with friends. unluckily, no banana boat and jelly fish made it not possible to snorkel. so we booked jetski instead. it was thrilling! but when euge hits the gas, nyah!!! and the body of water surrounding me and seeing the nearest island is far scares me. in the end, i attribute my headache to be caused by the jetski ride.

(c) then we soaked at the pool. as usual my nose hurt. no matter how i try, water gets in my nose. e ganun na tlga, me nkalagay 'ata na sign na daluyan. =)

(d) we had a schedule for the spa at 8pm. scrub-steam bath-shower-massage-facial-bubble bath-drink. left the spa at 11pm still wanting more.

then the next day we woke up early to save good seats too bad the tour guide assigned only spoke chinese so they had us transferred to another bus with english speaking guide. had our lunch at golden prawn. the concept of the restaurant is the same as dampa, built atop the fishpond. then we visited batam's megamall, sigh, nothing beats mega A and B. =) we also queued for the j.co donuts which was recommended by most singaporeans, it is a must to buy the donuts. hekhek.

off we go to the ferry terminal, sigh, no queue so it was a race to good seats. anyway while waiting for the ferry, euge got his loot... kaching

i am saving the photos. i want to play with them first. harharhar

friday the 13th

euge reminded me that today is friday the thirteenth. i used to get scared of this when i was in school, scared of taking the exams, getting my pants or uniform soiled, being caught in traffic, and lots of, now i believe, to be lame reasons. i might be putting the blame on the date rather than my lack of preparedness for the exam, walking absent-mindedly, and waking up late. but ey, just now, i lost two battles at dollwar. lol. lame fashion sense. haizzz...

fear of friday the thirteenth=paraskavedekatriaphobia

as i waited for the elevator i noted that it is at 13th floor, so i pressed the button and it went down to my floor, lucky 9. hekhek. so after going to the plaza, euge and i walked home. bad cause i used my new sandals and it rubbed my feet and it burns my skin. i needed some lotion to lessen the friction, but no lotion in my purse... what we used, euge's sweat. ew, how innovative and convenient. =)

God is always above all. no friday the thirteenth at all.

sinigang na hipon and general house cleaning

spending saturday cleaning the house. seems like this is normal, and it's back. back along with the sinigang mixes, hekhek... for today it is sinigang na hipon.

last thurs went to amici w/ sheila, jeff and mumu. thanks jeff. had a very nice tortellini blah blah.

have to do some ironing and more laundry in a while. have to prepare because for next sat and sun, i wouldn't be able to do these chores, thank heavens.
